Follow the product instructions first
Check which lid pieces are designed to detach and whether dishwasher use is allowed. Forcing a gasket or slider can damage the seal or create a reassembly problem.
Adjust for what you drink
Residue from flavored, sweetened or milk-based drinks needs prompt cleaning. Plain water still leaves moisture and contact points that benefit from a regular wash.
Reach the small spaces
Use a suitable soft brush for straws, threads and channels. Inspect beneath removable gaskets only when the manufacturer indicates they can be removed.
Dry before closing
Air-dry the bottle and lid components separately so trapped moisture can escape. Reassemble only when fully dry and replace damaged components when supported.
