Empty and inspect the bag
Remove debris from seams and pockets. Identify stains, color transfer, leather-like trim, metal hardware and any printed areas before adding moisture.
Spot clean first
Use a small amount of mild cleaner on an inconspicuous area when the product instructions allow. Blot instead of aggressively rubbing, then remove residue with a clean damp cloth.
Reshape while drying
Support the tote in its natural shape and let it dry fully away from concentrated heat. Store it clean and dry so creases and odors do not set.
