Follow dishwasher guidance
Check whether the cup, lid and decorative finish are dishwasher safe. Hand washing is the safer default when the product instructions are unclear.
Clean the lid separately
Remove only parts designed to come out, note their orientation, and clean channels with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly so no soap remains near the drinking opening.
Store it open
Allow every component to dry completely before reassembly. Store the tumbler with the lid off or loose to reduce trapped odor.
